The
goal of this project is for you to learn about growing up in Ancient Egypt.
You will create a booklet sharing facts about Egyptian daily life.
1) The teacher will give you the eight
pages for this booklet. Each page
contains a question, a paragraph of
information, and a picture. Read the
information provided.
2) Now it’s research time!!
a.
Using any of the sources available, find TWO additional interesting
facts to answer EACH of the eight questions. (16 points)
b.
These facts must be neatly printed on the back of the picture section of
each page. See teacher’s example.
(3 points)
c.
Each fact MUST be a complete sentence with correct capitalization,
punctuation, and spelling. (16 points)
3) Neatly color each of the pictures in
the booklet. CAUTION:
Use a color
medium that will not bleed through the page
ruining your sentences on the
other side. (3 points)
4) Neatly and carefully cut out each of
the pages on the lines indicated. (2 points)
5) Fold each page on the line where
indicated. Fold toward the
question, so that
your facts are visible next to the question. (1
point)
6) Organize the pages in the following
order: What Foods Would I Eat?,
Where
Would I Live?, What Would I Wear?, What Kind of
Hairstyle Would I Have?,
Would I Go to School?, What If I Got Sick?, What
Could I Do For Fun?, and
Would I Have A Pet?. (2 points)
7) Select two pieces of construction
paper that have been cut to the correct size
for you. These
will serve as the cover for your booklet. Put
the pages
between the two pieces of construction paper and
staple where indicated.

8) Trim and attach the section “If You
Lived in Ancient Egypt” to the front cover.
Write your first/last names and period number
below the words “Ancient Egypt.

9) Decorate/color the cover. (2 points)
